In Memory of Richard L. "Dick" Pasi Sr.

Dick Pasi memorialThis year's Old Fashioned 4th of July program booklet is prepared in memory of Richard Pasi Sr. Dick was a graduate of Brockway High School Class of 1950. He was a sergeant in the Marine Corps, stationed in Paris Island, N.C. Dick attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for two years. Upon his graduation, he was hired by the M. O'Neil Company of Akron, Ohio. He spent his entire career in retail advertising and retired as vice-president of advertising in 1989.

Dick and his wife Marjorie relocated to Brockway in 2000. He was a member of the American Legion in Brockway. the DuBois Council of the Arts, the Elk County Council of the Arts, Susquehanna Art Association in Clearfield and the Whiskey Painters of America, a parishioner and usher at the St. Tobias Catholic church and founder of the Brockway Artists Connection.

Dick taught watercolor and drawing classes in Ridgway, Brookville and Brockway and designed and painted murals together with the Brockway Artists Connection group at the Mengle Memorial Library and the Brockwayville Depot.

For several years, Dick designed the 4th of July booklet covers (including this year's). Since moving back to Brockway, he has helped with the July 4th Art and Photography Show every year until his passing.

This year we dedicate the Brockway Old Fashioned 4th of July Art and Photography Show to Dick Pasi, our mentor and friend. He will be sadly missed.
